Unlock the Power of Baby Massage
Baby massage is not just a soothing ritual; it's an extraordinary experience with countless benefits for both you and your little one. Here's why baby massage is a must for your family:

Strengthens Bond
massaging your baby encourages skin-to-skin contact, which can help build a stronger emotional connection. This physical closeness reassures the baby, creating a sense of safety and security.

Boosts Immune System
Regular massage can help strengthen the immune system by improving circulation and reducing stress. This can aid in the baby's overall health and ability to fight off infections.

Promotes Relaxation and Sleep
Baby massage can help soothe a baby, promoting relaxation and improving the quality of their sleep. The gentle strokes can calm the nervous system, reduce stress hormones, and induce a more peaceful, restful sleep cycle

Reduces Stress and Anxiety
Just as adults benefit from physical touch to reduce stress, babies also experience a reduction in anxiety through soothing massage. It has been shown to lower levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) and promote feelings of calm.

Supports Digestive Health
Massaging a baby's abdomen can help alleviate common digestive issues such as gas, colic, and constipation. Gentle circular motions stimulate digestion and can ease discomfort, making it a natural remedy for these common infant ailments.

Enhances Sensory Development
Baby massage helps develop a baby’s sensory awareness by providing tactile stimulation. The experience of touch is critical to the development of their nervous system. As they grow, massage helps them become more aware of their body and their environment.

FAQ
What if my baby needs changing or feeding during the class?
My NO 1 Rule of Baby Massage is that it is Baby Led, meaning that we only massage a baby that wants to be massaged. If a baby needs feeding or changing then this can be done happily in the Class, either on the Mat or at the side of the class, whichever is most comfortable for Mum And Baby!.
My Baby has just had their vaccines can they come to class?
This is entirely down to mum! I would advise not coming to class within 48 hours of having a vaccine as some babies can get side effects, making them feel tired and poorly, and may not be up for baby massage. However, if baby is OK I would just advise Mum to exercise caution and not massage the leg/arm that has been injected.
What should I bring?
A yoga mat will be provided but I would suggest to please bring a towel, Oil for the massage, however week 1, I will provide you with a small bottle of oil to get you started.
What if I want to bring my own oil?
Of course you can use your own oil, I would only suggest that firstly you have completed a patch test on your baby and I would recommend to use pure, organic, cold pressed, non scented vegetable or fruit oils (do not use Coconut oil or oils containing Nuts into class)
Do you massage the babies?
As the instructor I do not massage any babies, my role is simply to demonstrate the correct techniques and massage strokes, using my baby doll!
Why are the Classes run only in English?Unfortunately whilst I am learning to speak Spanish, and hoping to run my classes in Spanish in the near future, my Spanish language is not good enough to teach a class in Spanish only in English. The handouts will be available in English, Spanish and German
